superlearnerAre you a Super Learner? As i posted a while ago, thanks to our very good friends over at Do-Be Mr B now has taken delivery of 20 brand new Learn-it MP4 Players for his class.  These will be hired to pupils in my class in the new term (August 2009) so that you can keep up to date with all the Podcasts and latest study and preparation tips from my class (You can also put your own music on it too).  We will be focusing on using technology to support learning in 2009/2010 and YOU can be part of the FIRST class in JP to be able to say ‘WE ARE SUPER LEARNERS’

If you would like to find out more or book one of the MP4 players for next term then leave your name and request in the comments area of this post.  Remember, i only have 20 MP4 players and over 80 pupils between S3, S4 and S5/6 so get in early and dont miss out.

Yet another Graphic Communication Podcast has been uploaded and is now available on iTunes.  Podcast 16 is titled ‘Input-Process-Output’ and is a 3 minute audio podcast explaining the basics of computer systems.  It is particularly useful for study for the Knowledge area of the course.

Get ALL the Podcasts from the PODCAST PAGE or from iTunes if you already subscribe.  Let me know what you would like to see next in the podcasts and i will see what i can do!

Just leave your comments in this post.

As If I hav’nt told most of you, the NEW iPhone 3.0 software lands for you iPhone and iPod Touch this Wednesday. MMS, Cut/Copy/Paste, System wide search, voice recording and faster use are some of the new features I have been playing with over the past week.

As you know, I love my iPhone. With everything from taking photos of pupils work, playing my awesome music to set the mood in class to instant Blogging on TmT, I see it as an essential part of my teaching toolkit! That alone should persuade Mrs B that I NEED the new iPhone 3G S.

Feel free to add comments to this post if you think i should get the new iPhone…

Hi guys, sorry im not in class.  If you remember the task that we started yesterday (Mobile phone mind map and list) i would like you to break into teams of 3 and attempt the same task for the following products.

A vaccuum cleaner

A childrens educational Toy

A kettle

Try to create as extensive a list and mind map as you can before breaking down into Essential and Desirable categories.

You can also log-on to the blog and try and get yourself signed up once you have finished the tasks.

See you Monday,

Mr B
